The purpose of this position is to perform inventory, maintenance and restocking for patient care areas to ensure adequate supplies are available for patient use. Position Overview:
Under the general direction of the Manager of Nursing Resources, the House Supervisor is responsible for supervising the delivery of nursing care and the nursing process on the assigned shift 24 hours daily, seven (7) days per week in collaborating with the associated Nursing Management and Nursing Administration. The House Supervisor is accountable to perform in accordance with hospital policies and procedures, State and Federal regulations, DNV requirements; and the Nursing Practice Act by the State of California Board of Registered Nurses. Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Obtains all required specimens from inpatients and outpatients of all ages while keeping identification protocols as a high priority.
- Processes patient specimens including but not limited to registration, test requests, specimen processing of in-house and send out tests, site batches and phone calls of patient results.
- Has the ability and knowledge to resolve send out issues in a timely manner. Able to make decisions based upon the urgency of the situation and documents all issues/resolutions in accordance with work procedures and hospital and departmental policies.
- Stocks and maintains an adequate amount of supplies at all times.
- Acts as a courier transporting specimens.

Develops and executes nutrition care plans to optimize patient's nutritional status; educates patients on modified diets if indicated and participates in activities required to meet departmental goals by performing the following duties.

Position Overview:
Manages, supervises, and coordinates the operations of the Emergency Department by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors, charge nurses and staff.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Directly supervises employees in the Emergency Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Provides support system wide, through the maintenance, evaluation, receiving and documentation of assigned medical equipment. Provides consultation, instruction and/or technical direction for staff in the safe use of biomedical equipment.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot, tests, calibrates, repairs, and inspects biomedical equipment as required by relevant standards.
- Maintains and updates inventory of CMHS’s biomedical equipment.
- Maintains a spare parts inventory to minimize disruption of patient care.
- Add new inventory and complete necessary safety checks in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
- Available for on-call duty. Provides emergency service for biomedical equipment.
- Maintains documentation for equipment compliance.
- Respond to appropriate codes.
- Travel to locations outside the main facility.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
