Compensation

Salary Range: $67.75 - $105.55 / hour

 

The pay range above represents the lowest possible rate for the position and the highest possible rate. Factors that may be used to determine where newly hired employees will be placed in the pay range include the employee specific skills and qualifications, relevant years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Most often, a newly hired employee will be placed below the midpoint of the range.

Pay for PRN positions is calculated differently than Full-Time, Regular Part-Time, and Part-Time positions. PRN Rates depend on the position and other factors, including years of experience, or shift commitment according to the department policy. PRN differential is added in certain positions.

Responsibilities

Position Overview: 

Examines and treats patients independently and in autonomous collaboration with other health care professionals. Ensures proper illness and injury care and disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.  Performs a variety of tasks including patient assessment, writing orders, facilitating treatment, collaborating with care team to achieve patient treatment goals. Demonstrates strong knowledge in a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Current State of California Physician Assistant License 
  • Current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) License.
  • Clinical Master's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies OR Five (5) years of Cardiology PA 
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification.
  • Six (6) months of experience in Cardiology, Critical Care or Emergency

Preferred:

  • One (1) year of experience in Cardiology or Critical Care.
  • One (1) year of experience using EMR (Patient Keeper, Meditech, Allscripts).
  • Bilingual English/Spanish.
