Compensation

Salary Range: $34.56 - $52.08 / hour

Pay for PRN positions is calculated differently than Full-Time, Regular Part-Time, and Part-Time positions. PRN Rates depend on the position and other factors, including years of experience, or shift commitment according to the department policy. PRN differential is added in certain positions.

Responsibilities

Position Overview:

The Purchasing Analyst position involves processing and supporting various operational, contractual, and financial analyses related to purchasing and supply chain management. Key responsibilities include contract management, accounts receivable coordination, purchasing, data collection and entry, analysis, review and control, customer service, and reporting.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Associate’s degree in General Education or a related field
  • Five (5) years of related experience in materials management or supply chain management
  • Five (5) years of project management experience
  • Two (2) years of experience using Microsoft Office, including Excel, in a professional setting

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  1. Assists the Manager in reviewing, uploading, and maintaining contracts in the contractrepository. Identifies and notifies relevant stakeholders of expiring contracts at leastninety (90) days before the expiration date.
  2. Assists in collecting consignment contracts and local documents. Coordinates periodicreviews of inventory reports for insurance and financial purposes.
  3. Supports the Purchasing Manager by developing reports for procurement functions, whichmay include root cause analysis, vendor scorecards, and general order managementreporting.
  4. Utilizes software, systems, and subscriptions, such as Vizient Catalog or Cobblestone, tovalidate and/or establish benchmarked product/equipment pricing. Forwards pricing toSenior Management and clinical departments for review and negotiation as requested.
  5. Provides usage analysis, orders samples, attends meetings, and creates, updates, andconsolidates product evaluation forms to support the Value Analysis program.
  6. Supports and participates in training supply chain staff in the use of Supply ChainManagement and ERP applications.
  7. Develops and runs data analyses using system information and Microsoft reporting tools.
  8. Ensures contract terms align with the corporate contracting strategy and are negotiatedwithin the established legal, operational, and financial guidelines set by Supply ChainLeadership.
  9. Documents training materials, reporting functionality, and processes related toresponsibilities.
  10. Exercises tact, discretion, and diplomacy in establishing and maintaining harmoniousrelationships with end-user departments.
  11. Advises departments of any changes or restrictions on materials that may prohibit acquisition.
  12. Remains informed of current departmental practices or changes by regularly attending staff meetings.
  13. Participates in continuing education related to their profession.
  14. Ensures unscheduled absences do not exceed departmental guidelines.
  15. Observes departmental dress and grooming standards and consistently wears a name badge.
  16. Provides proper notification of absences or tardiness within established guidelines.
  17. Maximizes the use of all facility resources, including supplies, personal time, and the time of others.
  18. Performs duties independently with minimal need for direct supervision.
  19. Seeks guidance from department managers as needed.
  20. Recognizes and performs duties that need to be completed, even if not directly assigned, and regularly assists others.
  21. Seeks methods to improve current practices by identifying problems and proposing viable solutions to the manager.
  22. Performs other duties as assigned.
