Compensation

Salary Range: $28.09 - $39.10 / hour

Factors that may be used to determine where newly hired employees will be placed in the pay range include the employee specific skills and qualifications, relevant years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Most often, a newly hired employee will be placed below the midpoint of the range.

Responsibilities

Position Overview:

The Surgical Technician will work directly with the surgeon and the circulating registered nurse. Creates and maintains a sterile field while assisting the surgeon in delivering effective surgical intervention. The position’s duties are highly variable, so the successful candidate must be willing adapt to change and keep pace with the other OR professionals on staff. 

Qualifications

Required:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Graduate from surgical technologist school or one (1) year of acute care hospital experience
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
  • Basic computer skills
  • SST II: Two (2) years surgery technician experience in the Operating Room environment
  • SST II: Scrub majority of service-lines independently
  • SST II: Ability to precept others and is recognized as a resource for other staff

Preferred:

  • National certification
